Open Hearth Community Center

Open Hearth Community Center, Inc. is a local 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2002 dedicated to supporting the youth and families of the Mad River Valley with quality multi-generational programs and recreational facilities. We accomplish this by partnering with other local organizations, leveraging our expertise in youth and afterschool programming, and embracing new initiatives brought to us by community members striving to meet an important need.

Specific areas of focus include:

  • Afterschool programming — especially for the most critical ages (6th-9th graders) at the most important times (weekdays 2:30 pm – 6:00 pm)
  • Recreational facilities
  • Summer camps and programs
  • Youth and family events that bring people together and foster community connections
